Hi All
Finally I have something to report, In the long weekend in October there will be a back to Iron Knob Weekend held over the Saturday and Sunday, Some Accommodation is available at the Hotel and Errappa contact Judy Hammond for details for Errappa Ph 0886462061 or Angela or Alan Irvine for hotel ph 0886462088, Action begins on Saturday from 12.00 finishing Sunday Night with meals and a Show at the hotel.
Full details will be in next month’s Knobby News. For invites contact J. Venables during work hours on 0886462064.
With the impending mine opening lots of work vehicles are starting to get around and things are looking good in that area.
I would like to let everyone know of the passing of May Lamont on the 27/07/2010 we pass on our condolences to her Family and friends, May was a wonderful person and big supporter of IKPA and will be sorely missed.
On a brighter note the Hotel is going great! IKPA hold their monthly BBQ there and have been getting great support from Angela and Allan who are wonderful hosts.
IKPA annual AGM will be held on the 31/08/2010 at 7.30
All welcome.
OneSteel Tours have been fantastic with great feed back from tourist visiting Iron Knob Tourist Centre. Both Tours Whyalla and Iron Knob are complementing each other, so if you are in the area take the opportunity to do the tours.
If you’re an Old Knobbie contact Joylene or Judy for info on our Back To Iron Knob Weekend, there will be lots to do so plan on having fun, spending time together reminiscing together, with a meal and show on Sunday night to finish off the weekend. Plus the bonus of Monday to get over the weekend.
